Cookie Policy.

What we store on your device and why. Short answer: only what we need.

Effective: March 18, 2026Last Updated: March 18, 2026DemanualAI Pvt. Ltd.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and improve your browsing experience. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage.

2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

Dataviz by DemanualAI uses a limited set of cookies and browser storage for essential authentication, functional preferences, and product analytics on our owned properties. We use PostHog to understand page views, clicks, page exits, and similar product usage patterns so we can improve the experience.

2.1 Essential Cookies (Required)

These are necessary for the Service to operate. They cannot be disabled.

2.3 What We Don't Use

We do not use:

  • Advertising or targeting cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, etc.)
  • Cross-site advertising or retargeting cookies
  • Tracking used to build advertising profiles
  • Fingerprinting or device identification technologies

3. Third-Party Cookies

The only third-party cookies on our platform are from Supabase, our authentication provider. These are strictly necessary for user authentication and session management. Supabase does not use these cookies for tracking or advertising.

We also use PostHog on our website and marketing pages for product analytics. PostHog may store analytics identifiers in cookies or local storage so we can measure page views, clicks, navigation paths, and session activity on our own properties.

We do not use these technologies for advertising, data brokering, or cross-site profiling. Session replay is configured to mask all form inputs.

4. Managing Cookies

4.1 Browser Settings

You can manage cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

4.2 Impact of Disabling Cookies

If you disable essential cookies, you will not be able to:

  • Log in to the Service
  • Maintain an authenticated session

Disabling localStorage will not prevent the Service from functioning, but your theme and sidebar preferences will reset on each visit.

4.3 Clearing Local Storage

To clear functional preferences stored in localStorage:

  1. Open your browser's Developer Tools (F12)
  2. Navigate to the Application/Storage tab
  3. Select Local Storage for the relevant DemanualAI property you visited
  4. Delete individual keys or clear all, including PostHog analytics storage if present

5. Cookie Consent

We use essential cookies for authentication, functional storage for preferences, and analytics storage for PostHog on our owned properties. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential analytics technologies, we will rely on the appropriate consent mechanism before enabling them. We provide this policy so you understand what is stored on your device and why.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new cookies or change how we use existing ones. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. We will not introduce advertising or cross-site tracking technologies without updating this policy and obtaining consent where required.
